Picnic Perfect Banana Pudding

Ingredients List
- ¾ c sugar
- 2 t cornstarch
- 3 c milk
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 t vanilla extract
- ¼ c butter
- 3 bananas sliced,
- 1 12-oz box vanilla wafers
- whipped cream
Directions
1. Mix together sugar and cornstarch in a medium sauce pan and add milk slowly
2. In a separate small bowl beat egg yolks
3. Heat sugar and milk mixture over medium heat stirring constantly
4. Once it begins to thicken add a ¼ of mixture to the egg mixture VERY slowly mixing constantly (this makes sure you don't scramble your egg yolks)
5. Add egg mixture back into the sugar milk mixture, stirring constantly
6. Cook for 2 min
7. Remove from heat and add vanilla and butter and allow it to cool to room temperature
8. Line the bottom of your jar with vanilla wafers then a layer of banana slices
9. Top this with a layer of pudding and then alternate bananas and pudding till you've reached just under the top.
10. Top the jar off with whipped cream
11. Add the lid back to the jar and place in fridge until cold
