Super Easy Onion Rings

  • 1 onion
  • ½ cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup Panko crumbs
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 4 tablespoons grated parmesan
  • 2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • oil for frying

 Directions

Cut onion into ½ inch rings.
In a small bowl whisk egg and milk and set aside.
In a separate bowl add bread crumbs, panko crumbs, paprika, cayenne pepper
Dip the onion slices into the flour mixture until they are all coated; set aside.
Whisk the egg and milk into the flour mixture using a fork until combined.
Dip the floured rings into the batter to coat, then roll into the bread crumbs.
Heat oil in a large heavy pot or deep fryer. It should be at least 3 inches deep, but more is better.
Fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden, turning about halfway through.
Let drain on paper towels, add more salt to taste if needed.
Sriracha Sauce
/2 cup mayo
/8 teaspoon sugar
tablespoon sriracha sauce
Mix together in a small bowl
