Summer Sangria-nice!!!

  • Recipe Submitted by on

Category: Summer, Beverages

 Ingredients List

  • 1 bottle red wine*
  • one orange, sliced
  • one lime, sliced
  • one lemon, sliced
  • one can pineapple slices
  • 1 Tbs. sugar
  • 1/4 c. Triple Sec
  • 1/4. c. orange juice
  • 1 L. ginger ale

 Directions

*Note about what wine to use: get decent wine. Don”™t pull out the best stuff, but if you wouldn”™t drink it on it”™s own, it”™s not going to be drinkable just because you put fruit in it. I use Bota Box Redvolution ”“ frequently I make a double (or um, quadruple) batch, so boxes are nice because you can adjust accordingly.

Put everything MINUS the ginger ale in a large pitcher and store overnight (12 hours at least). Before serving, add the ginger ale. Perfection!

**Another Note: I”™m not much of a rule follower, so I eyeball alot of these measurements. The triple sec, OJ and ginger ale can all pretty much be to taste. If you like it boozier, add more triple sec. If you want to stretch the recipe (or if you”™ll be at the lake drinking all day and want to pace yourself), add more ginger ale.

***And Yet Another Note: If you don”™t finish the whole batch the first day, strain the fruit out before you store it. It will go bitter if you leave the fruit in for more than about a day or so. I”™ve had this devastation occur and wasted about half a batch of perfectly good sangria, so learn from my mistake!

Most importantly, enjoy!
