Creole Black Beans
Ingredients List
- 2 lb Smoked sausage, 1" pieces
- 3 cn Black beans (15 oz.) drained
- 1 1/2 c Chopped onions
- 1 1/2 c Chopped green pepper
- 1 1/2 c Chopped celery
- 4 Cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 ts Leaf thyme
- 1 1/2 ts Leaf oregano
- 1 1/2 ts White pepper
- 1/4 ts Black pepper
- 1/4 ts Cayenne pepper
- 1 Chicken bouillon cube
- 5 Bay leaves
- 8 oz Tomato sauce
- 1 c Water
Directions
Brown sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Drain fat and transfer to
crock-pot. Combine remaining ingredients in crock-pot. Cover and cook on
low 8 hours or high 4 hours. Remove bay leaves. Serve over cooked rice.
