Hickory Sticks

 Ingredients List

  • 1 c Brown sugar
  • 1/4 c Butter
  • 1 lg Egg
  • 1 1/3 c Flour
  • 1/2 ts Baking powder
  • 1/8 ts Salt
  • 1 1/4 c Nuts; preferably hickory
  • -nuts
  • Confectioner's sugar

 Directions

Cream sugar, butter & egg. Sift flour with baking powder & salt. Combine
flour with creamed mixture & add nuts. Line 9-inch pie tin with paper.
Spread batter & smooth out. Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes. Cut in long,
narrow stript while still warm & roll in confectioner's sugar.
