Ingredients List
- An orange-sized tamarind
- -ball
- 1 tb Jaggery; powdered
- 1 ts Turmeric
- 12 Green chiles; chopped
- 4 Sprigs curry leaves; chopped
- 1 4" piece ginger; chopped
- Salt; to taste
- ---For Seasoning---
- 1 ts Black mustard seeds
- 1 ts Black gram dal
- 3 Red chiles; broken
- 4 tb Oil
Directions
Extract juice from tamarind. Heat oil and add mustard seeds, black gram dal
and red chilies. When brown, add green chilies and curry leaves and fry for
a couple of minutes. Now add tamarind juice, jaggery, turmeric, salt and
ginger. Cook till mixture is thick.
