Ingredients List
- - Natural flavored popcorn
- - Corn syrup
- - Brown sugar
- - Vanilla extract
- - Baking soda
- - Butter
- - Peanuts (optional)
- - Wax paper
Directions
I used this recipe as the base and added peanuts for a Crunch ”˜n Munch taste. This project was made in batches of microwavable popcorn bags since we could only fit 2-3 trays in the oven. Depending on how many wedding favors you need, you might to make them in batches, small enough to fit in the oven. To make the carnival ticket curtain for the backdrop above: cut strings of tickets in different lengths, fold each in zig zag, and attach them onto a curtain rod or long wire.
After baking your caramel corn, transfer it to a sheet of wax paper and spread the popcorn in small chunks. Let it cool down for a few hours before you start filling the cups. Cut a square of about 20 inches of cellophane (or any other food safe plastic wrap) to package your favors, tie with a tag and ribbon et voila. This project can be made up to 3 days before the wedding.
