Apple Pudding #2

 Ingredients List

  • 1/4 ts Baking soda
  • 1/4 ts Ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 ts Ground cloves
  • 1/4 ts Ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 ts Salt
  • 1/4 c Margarine; softened
  • 1/4 c Nuts; chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 c Brown sugar (may use half
  • -honey; half brown sugar)
  • 1 Egg; beaten
  • 1/2 c Whole wheat or unbleached
  • -flour
  • 2 1/2 c Apples; chopped

 Directions

In a mixing bowl, combine baking soda, spices, salt and softened margarine;
mix well, slowly adding the sugar. Add egg and flour, blending thoroughly.
Fold in apples. Pour into a buttered pan or casserole; bake in a preheated
350 degree oven for 45 minutes or until the center is firm. Better if
pecans or walnuts are sprinkled over top before baking.
