Apricot Nut Loaf

 Ingredients List

  • 1 c Sugar
  • 2 tb Shortening
  • 1 Egg
  • 3/4 c Milk
  • 3/4 c Orange juice
  • 4 ts Grated orange rind
  • 3 c Flour
  • 3 1/2 ts Baking powder
  • 1 c Finely chopped dried
  • -apricots
  • 3/4 c Chopped nuts

 Directions

Combine sugar, shortening and egg. Stir in milk, juice and rind. Sift
flour, baking powder, salt and add to other mixture. Combine apricots and
nuts; add to batter. Pour into greased loaf pan and let stand 20 minutes.
Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes.
