Ingredients List
- 1 1/2 cups oats
- 1/4 cup nuts (I used walnuts)
- 1/8 cup honey
- 1 medium ripe banana (not brown)
- Cinnamon (optional but I highly recommend as cinnamon is a natural appetite suppressant)
- Parchment paper
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Place oats on a cookie sheet and place in oven for 10 minutes.
3. While oats are browning in the oven, mash the banana using a potato masher or fork until smooth.
4. Add honey and walnuts to banana mixture and stir until well blended. Set aside.
5. After the oats have cooled completely, add them to the banana mixture.
6. Stir until well blended.
*Note: The final product will be crunchy on top and moist on the bottom. If you prefer a completely crunchy bar, increase the cooking time to 30 minutes, flipping the mixture after 15 minutes.
10. After cooking, remove from oven and immediately slice the granola into bars. Be very careful when slicing the bars.
11. Allow bars to cool for approximately 30 minutes before removing from the cookie sheet.
12. Place in an air-tight container and
enjoy!
