Ingredients List
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt or table salt
- 1 3/4 cups milk (I love skim, but any kind would work)
- 1/2 cup canola oil or olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 Tablespoon of honey
- 3 Bananas
- 1/2 cup of walnuts
Directions
Preheat your waffle maker to medium heat.
In a large bowl beat 2 eggs on high speed until frothy and bubbly (it takes about a minute)
Add your 2 cups of flour, 4 tsp baking powder and 1/4 tsp salt.
Pour in 1 3/4 cups milk, 1/2 cup olive oil, 1/2 tsp vanilla and 1 Tbsp honey. Whisk the mixture together until smooth.
Cook your waffles until done. It is best to place waffles on a wire rack instead of stacking them so they won't get soggy.
Next add as many bananas and walnuts as you would like (I like a lot of walnuts). You can also add whipping cream and syrup.
