Beef with Green Peppers

 Ingredients List

  • 12 oz Beef; cut in thin strips
  • 1 tb Cornstarch
  • 1 tb Sherry
  • 1 tb Soy sauce
  • 1 tb Grated fresh ginger -or-
  • 1 ts Ground ginger
  • 5 tb Shortening or oil
  • 2 c Bell pepper cut in thin
  • -strips
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • 1 tb Soy sauce
  • 1/2 tb Sugar


Dredge beef with cornstarch, sherry, 1 Tbs soy sauce & ginger. Heat oil &
saute beef strips. When beef changes color, remove to a plate & in
remaining oil saute bell peppers for 1 minute; add salt. Combine beef,
peppers, 1 Tbs soy sauce & sugar. Heat well. Serve on rice.
