Best Cheese Grits

 Ingredients List

  • 1 c Grits
  • 4 c Water
  • 1 ts Salt
  • 1/4 lb Butter or margarine
  • 1 Roll (6-oz) Kraft garlic
  • -cheese
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/2 c Milk
  • 1 c Sour cream
  • 1 c Crushed and buttered
  • -cornflakes (optional)

 Directions

Cook grits in 4 cups water and 1 teaspoon salt as directed on package. Cool
15 minutes. Melt butter or margarine and 3/4 roll of cheese together and
add to grits. Beat eggs and milk. Add sour cream. Add mixture slowly to
grits. Pour into a greased 2 quart casserole. Top with remaining cheese
that has been grated or cut into small pieces and cornflakes. Bake for 45
minutes at 350ø. Yield: 8 servings.
