Bread Pudding - City Tavern

Ingredients List
- 1 1/2 qt To 3 quart Casserole dish
- 12 Eggs
- 1 qt Milk
- 1 1/2 c Sugar
- 1/8 ts Egg shade (optional)
- 1 1/2 ts Vanilla
- 1 1/2 oz Dark rum, 1-1/2 shots,
- - approximately
- 1/4 c Dark brown sugar
- 4 tb Butter
- 2 lb Day old bread; cubed
Directions
Mix eggs, milk, sugar and flavorings in a large bowl. Grease casserole
dish. Place bread cubes in casserole dish. Pour liguid mixture over bread
cubes. Top with butter and brown sugar. Cover with aluminum foil and bake
in a water bath at 300 degrees until pudding sets ( approx. 40 minutes )
