 Ingredients List

  • 1/4 c Butter
  • 2 oz Unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 c Granulated white sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 c White wheat flour
  • 1/8 ts Salt
  • 1/2 c Chopped nuts
  • 2 ts Vanilla
  • 1 tb Powdered sugar; optional
  • -garnish


Heat the oven to 300 xF. Grease a square 8- inch pan and sprinkle with
flour. (You can also line the pan with greased and floured wax paper.) Melt
the butter and chocolate together on low in a stovetop pan. Blend them by
stirring well. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in this order: the
sugar, salt, egg, vanilla, flour and the nuts. Pour and spread the mixture
into the baking dish and bake for 30 minutes. Cool, dust with powdered
sugar and cut into squares.
