Caramel Pecan Milkshake Shooters in Chocolate Cups

  • Recipe Submitted by on

Category: Desserts

 Ingredients List

  • 1 package of chocolate flavored CandiQuik
  • 1 small package of Kraft Vanilla Caramels or use your favorite caramel recipe
  • 1 package of pecan chips
  • 1 ½ cups 2% milk
  • Vanilla bean or your favorite vanilla ice cream

 Directions

Melt CandiQuik according to package directions. I filled each cavity in the mold with melted candy, gave the mold a good couple of bangs on the kitchen table to remove any air bubbles and popped it into the refrigerator. One package of CandiQuik makes four “cups.” (Yes, I”™m messy with candy!)

Make your favorite caramel recipe or melt Kraft Vanilla caramels. Let cool. After unmolding the chocolate cups, dip the top of each “cup” in melted caramel and then in pecan chips. Let the caramel set. If some of the pecans fall off the chocolate or slip down, just push them back in place!

For the milkshakes, add milk, ½ cup of pecan chips, 4-5 scoops of vanilla ice cream and 4-5 tablespoons of melted caramel, more or less to taste. Blend until thick and creamy.

Inspired by my favorite Easter egg, these Caramel Pecan Milkshake Shooters in Chocolate Cups are a creamy, sweet and totally fun treat for all our big and little bunnies!

Pour the milkshakes into the chocolate cups and top with a dollop of melted caramel. I cut straws down a bit to fit the cups and this milkshake recipe will make twelve “shooters.” After you enjoy a couple of milkshake shooters, you get to eat the cup!

You could make this with chocolate ice cream or add chocolate to the milkshake. I happen to be a vanilla lover and the blend of vanilla, pecan and caramel was pure bliss ”“ just like eating the outside of my favorite Easter egg! If you don”™t have or want to buy a silicon ice shooter mold, you can totally enjoy the milkshakes in a glass, but really, don”™t you think this is just so much fun? Even Mr. Smarty Pants thought the chocolate cups were pretty great. (Are we good to go? Can I eat the cups now? Yes, you can!)
