Cast Iron Skillet Pizza
Ingredients List
- 1 bag Turkey Peperoni
- 1 jar Pizza Sauce (Pick one that's Rolaids free)
- Dough:
- 1 packet Active Dry Yeast
- 1 cup Warm Water (105 - 115 degrees)
- 1/2 tablespoon Salt
- 2 teaspoons Olive Oil (EVOO for the Rach Fans)
- 2 -3 cups All Purpose Flour
- 1 tablespoon Corn Meal
Directions
Proof the yeast in the mixing bowl. And yes you have to measure the temperature of the water.
Add the flour starting with the smaller amount first.
Mix for 2 minutes on medium. Add additional flour to make a stiff dough. When it all picks up off the side of the bowl it's finished.
Transfer dough to a lightly greased ( I use Spray Vegetable Oil), cover and let sit in a warm area.
Let the dough double in size. Might take a while depending on the yeast and temperature.
Pizza Crust Preparation :
Add favorite toppings, sprinkle with mozzarella, and top with pepperoni (we use the turkey pepperoni on this one).
Return to oven and bake till pepperoni crisps at the edges.
Transfer to cutting board and slice.
