Cheesy Pesto Puffs

Ingredients List
- 1 (17.3-oz) package puff pastry sheets, thawed
- 6 Tbsp prepared pesto
- 9 sharp cheddar cheese sticks, cut in half
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 Tbsp water
Directions
Heat the oven to 375°F. Line two baking sheet with parchment paper.
Sprinkle the flour on the work surface. Unfold the pastry sheet on the work surface. Cut each sheet into 9 squares.
Spread 1 tsp of pesto on top of each square. Place half of a cheese stick on the diagonal.
Fold two opposite corners of each square over the cheese stick and press edges to seal. Place on prepared baking sheet.
Combine egg and water. Brush each pastry with egg wash.
Bake 15-18 minutes, until golden brown. Serve warm or at room temperature.
