Ingredients List
- - 1 cup butter (softened)
- - 1 cup margarine (softened)
- - 1 1/2 cups powered sugar
- - 4 cups flour
- - 1 table spoon vanilla
- - 1 can cherry pie filling
- Glaze:
- - 1 cup powered sugar
- - 2 tablespoons milk
- - 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
1 Using a mixer, whip your butter and margarine together until fluffy.
2. Add in flour, powered sugar and vanilla. You might want to chill the dough in the fridge for a little while, if your butter and margarine were very soft, before you begin the next step.
3. Roll dough into 1 inch balls and “fingerprint” them. You could also use a measuring spoon, if you want them to be nice and round.
5. Add cherry pie filling into cookies. I added 2 or 3 cherries to each one. Now pop them into the oven for 13-16 minutes!
Glaze:
1. Mix all ingredients until there are no lumps.
2. Once cookies are done baking, take them out of the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Then put glaze into a ziplock bag, snip off a tiny (TEENSY TINY!) corner, and drizzle over cookies.
