Chewy Exercise Bars
Ingredients List
- 1 c Rolled oats
- 1/2 c Whole wheat flour
- 1/4 ts Baking powder
- 1/4 ts Baking soda
- 1/8 c Butter or margerine
- 1/2 c Nonfat plain yogurt
- 1/3 c Honey
- 1/2 c Brown sugar; firmly packed
- 1/2 ts Vanilla
- Choose one of the following
- -or make up your own flavor
- -(almost any dried fruit and
- -any type of nut can be

1/2 c Dates or raisins
1/2 c Pecans
FLAVOR #2
1/2 c Apples
1/2 c Walnuts
1/2 ts Cinnamon
FLAVOR #3
1/2 c Dried apricots
1/2 c Almonds
FLAVOR #4
1/2 c Chocolate chips
1/2 c Nuts
I don't know how close these are to Kudos, but I like them.
Chop up whatever you decide to flavor your bars with. Mix this with the
oats, flour, baking powder, and baking soda in a large bowl. In another
bowl, mix together the butter, yogurt, brown sugar, and vanilla. Stir this
into the dry ingredients. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x12 inch pan and
bake at 325 F until the top just turns brown (about 30-40 minutes). Cut
when mostly cooled.
Note: These should come out fairly thin.
