Christine's Hot Chili

 Ingredients List

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 lg Onion -- chopped
  • 2 Cloves Garlic -- crushed
  • 1 tb Chili Powder
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • 1 ts Ground Cumin
  • 1 ts Dried Oregeno
  • 1 ts Cocoa
  • 1/2 ts Red Pepper Sauce
  • 1 cn Crushed Tomatoes (16Oz)
  • 1 cn Red Kidney Beans
  • (15 1/2 Oz) Optional

 Directions

This is the best recipe I've tried. Spices are for a milder chili. I happen
to like mine very hot, so I double the spices. Cook beef, onion and
garlic in 3 qt saucepan & drain. Stir in remaining ingredients except
beans. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 1 hour. Stir in
beans. Heat to boiling. Simmer uncovered 20 minute. To serve, top with
shredded cheddar cheese and enjoy. Hope you like it as much as we do.
