Consomme Rice

 Ingredients List

  • 3 Ribs celery; diced
  • 1 md Bell pepper; diced
  • 1 md Onion; diced
  • 1 Clove (large) garlic; minced
  • 1 1/2 c Raw rice
  • 2 cn Beef consomme
  • Mushrooms (optional)
  • 1 Stick margarine
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 ds Worcestershire sauce

 Directions

Saut”š vegetables in margarine until clear in appearance. Wash rice, place
in a casserole. Pour in vegetables and mushrooms, if used. Add undiluted
consomme, salt and pepper to taste and a dash of Worcestershire sauce.
Cover and cook in a preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Do not stir
during cooking time.
