Crack Balls

  • 1-1/2 cups chocolate cake scraps
  • 1 tablespoon mocha chip buttercream frosting
  • 2 cups chocolate candy melts or chocolate chips
  • 1-1/2 cups finely chopped toffee (or use sprinkles, nuts or your favorite candy)


1 In a small bowl mix together the cake scraps and frosting. Add enough frosting so that the balls are moist, but not so wet that you can't form them into balls.

2 Use a small cookie scoop to scoop the mixture into balls. Place balls on parchment paper and freeze for 30-minutes.

3 After balls have chilled, melt the chocolate in the microwave, stopping every 30-seconds to stir. Dip balls, one at a time, in the melted chocolate and then immediately roll in your topping. Place balls on parchment paper to set.
