Cranberry Waffles and Orange Sauce

Ingredients List
- 2 c Buttermilk biscuit mix
- 1/4 c Sugar
- 3 Eggs; beaten
- 1 1/2 c Milk
- 3 tb Shortening; melted
- 1 c Cranberries, raw; ground
Directions
ORANGE SAUCE
1/2 c Sugar
2 tb Cornstarch
1 ts Salt
1 1/2 c Water; boiling
1 tb Butter (or marg.)
1 tb Orange rind; grated
1/2 c Orange juice
1 tb Lemon juice
Combine biscuit mix and sugar; stir in eggs and milk. Add melted
shortening, mixing well; fold in cranberries. Bake in a preheated waffle
baker, and serve with Orange sauce.
Orange Sauce: Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt; add to boiling water.
Cook 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in butter
orange rind, orange juice, and lemon juice. Yield: about 2 cups.
