Creole Okra

 Ingredients List

  • 3 c Sliced okra
  • 1/2 c Chopped onion
  • 1/2 c Chopped green pepper
  • 1/4 c Butter or margarine
  • 3 c Chopped tomatoes
  • 4 ts Sugar
  • 1 1/4 ts Salt
  • 1/2 ts Pepper

 Directions

Saut”š okra, onion and green pepper in butter for 5 minutes, stirring
constantly. Add remaining ingredients and cook over low heat for 10 to 15
minutes, stirring occasionally. Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
