Ingredients List
- 1lb of chicken (could do up to 2lbs with the amount of sauce it makes!)
- 1 tsp garlic ”“ more or less to your liking..
- 1/2 tsp ginger
- a pinch of crushed Red Pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup apple juice
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp Ketchup (I just eyeballed it)
- 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
Directions
I put all the ingredients, except the chicken and the cornstarch, into my crockpot and mixed it into a sauce.
Then I put my chicken into the sauce (It was half frozen :P). Cook on high 4-6 hours, low 8-10.
About an hour or so before eating, take the cornstarch in a cup or bowl and add a couple of spoonfuls of the sauce to it.
Mix until dissolved. Then add it to the chicken and let cook the rest of the time.
You can skip the cornstarch, if you don”™t have the time ”“ your sauce will just be thinner, but still delicious icon smile Crockpot Bourbon Chicken Serve over some rice.
