Crumble Torte

 Ingredients List

  • 1/2 c Walnuts; chopped
  • 1 pk Dates; chopped in small
  • -pieces
  • 3 Eggs; separated
  • 6 tb Coarse bread crumbs
  • 1 ts (heaping) baking powder
  • 1 1/4 c Sugar

 Directions

Mix all ingredients together with egg yolks. Beat egg whites stiffly; fold
into mixture. Pour into buttered 9x9 inch pan. Bake in 350 degree oven
for 30 minutes. Serve with whipped cream over ice cream. This is an old,
old recipe.
