Crunchy Apple Pie

 Ingredients List

  • 2 c Chopped cooking apples
  • 1/2 ts Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c Firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 ts Freshly squeezed lemon
  • Juice
  • 1/2 c Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c Chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c All-purpose flour
  • 1 Egg white beaten until
  • Foamy
  • 1 Egg yolk -- beaten
  • 1 9"unbaked pie shell


Put chopped apples in a large bowl. Add sugar, flour, egg yolk, vanilla,
lemon juice and pecans; mix well. Add egg white. Stir well and pour mixture
into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes or until
apples are tender and brown. Yield: one 9-inch pie. Formatted for MM7 by
