Debbie Reynolds' Chicken a la Honolulu

 Ingredients List

  • 5 lb Broiler-fryers chicken
  • 3 c Pineapple chunks; fresh,
  • Canned or frozen
  • 2 tb Ginger root, grated -OR-
  • 1 ts Ground ginger
  • 1 c Pineapple juice
  • 1 c Soy sauce
  • 2 Cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tb Oil


Clean and cut the fryers. Combine all the above ingredients (with
exception of oil) for a marinade. Cover chicken and let stand at
least 4 hours. Turn often. Drain. Brown chicken in oil in a heavy
skillet. Place meat in a greased casserole. Bake in 325 oven for an
hour, or until tender.
