Dee's Black Bean Sauce

 Ingredients List

  • 1 Onion -- minced
  • 1 Leek -- minced
  • 1 Red bell pepper -- minced
  • 2 tb Ginger -- pureed
  • 2 tb Garlic -- pureed
  • 1 Orange juice -- plus zest
  • 2 tb Oil
  • 4 oz Dry white wine
  • 4 oz Hoisin sauce
  • 1 c Water -- use more if needed
  • 2 tb Lemon juice
  • 2 tb Soy sauce
  • Hot chili peppers -- flakes
  • 2 tb Cilantro -- minced
  • 2 tb Dried black beans --
  • Fermented
  • 1 tb Sesame oil

 Directions

Saute the vegetables in the oil, then add the remaining ingredients except
the fresh herbs and the sesame oil. Simmer until friendly, then stir in
the herbs and sesame oil.

Serving Ideas : Use with halibut, salmon, clams, mussels, etc. Recipe By
