Double Chocolate Macadamia Brownies

Ingredients List
- 1 1/2 cups Gold Medal UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour (bleached flour toughens baked goods)
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 cups sugar
- 2/3 cup unsalted butter
- 4 tbsp. water (1/4 cup
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 2 12-oz. bags chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts
- 1/3 cup chopped macadamia nuts for topping
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°.
In a small mixing bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
In a medium-sized saucepan over low to medium heat, combine butter, sugar and water.
Bring just to a boil; remove from heat.
Stir in one bag chocolate chips and vanilla.
Cool slightly.
Pour chocolate mixture into a large mixing bowl.
Add eggs and whisk to incorporate.
Add flour mixture, one bag chocolate chips and 1/2 cup macadamia nuts.
Stir with a wooden spoon to combine.
Pour mixture into a greased 10x15” glass baking dish.
Sprinkle remaining ½ cup chocolate chips and 1/3 cup chopped macadamia nuts on top.
Bake at 350° for 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool before cutting into bars.
