 Ingredients List

  • 1 lb Ground lamb 1 ts Salt 1/2 ts Course ground pepper Watercress Chopped
  • flat parsley
  • Combine meat , salt and pepper, Form into 5 or 6 four inch ovals. Thread on
  • skewer and grill 5 minutes until brown, turn and grill other side. Serve on
  • a bed of watercress. Profusely sprinkle with chopped parsley. Accompany
  • with pita bread.

Title: Egyptian Lentils

Yield: 1 Servings

Cooked rice
Cooked elbow macaroni
1 c Lentils
1 tb Oil
2 Fresh chili peppers
1 1/2 c Tomato sauce
2 tb Vinegar
1 lg Onion, chopped

Place lentils in a saucepan, cover by 1 inch with water. Bring to a boil,
reduce heat to a simmer, cover, and cook for 35 minutes. Drain and set
aside. Heat oil in skillet and saute peppers and onions until onions begin
to brown. Add tomato sauce and vinegar, bring to a boil, and then reduce
heat and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in lentils. Serve lentil mixture over
cooked rice and cooked elbow macaroni mixed together.
