Family Style Broiled Chicken

Ingredients List
- 2½ pound frying chicken (cut up)
- ½ cup butter or margarine
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- 1 small onion (finely chopped)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 medium clove garlic (crushed)
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
Directions
In a small sauce pan melt the butter and combine all the ingredients except for the chicken.
Place the chicken skin side down on the broiler pan. Using a pastry brush coat the chicken.
Broil with the top of the chicken 5 to 7 inches from the heat. Turn the chicken and coat every 10 minutes until the thickest pieces are done. (This take about 40 minutes)
