Fragrant Yellow Rice
Ingredients List
- 1 c Basmati rice
- 1 1/2 c Water
- 1 ts Salt (optional)
- 1/2 ts Tumeric
- 1 Stick cinnamon
- 3 Whole cloves
- 3 Cardamom pods
Directions
Wash rice 5 or 6 times and drain. Mix all of the ingredients in a
microwave safe dish, with a cover.
Microwave on high for 5 minutes, then microwave on half power for 15
minutes. Let sit for 5 minutes, fluff with a fork. (Since microwave
wattage varies, cooking time may require adjusting.)
If using a stove top, bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat to a simmer.
Cover and cook for 15 minutes. Fluff with a fork.
