French Apple Cobbler

 Ingredients List

  • =====Filling====
  • 3 lbs. apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • ¾ c sugar
  • 2 T flour
  • 1 t cinnamon
  • ¼ t salt
  • 1 t vanilla
  • ¼ c water
  • 1 T butter
  • =====Topping=====
  • ½ c flour
  • ½ c sugar
  • ½ t baking powder
  • ¼ salt
  • 2 T butter
  • 1 egg, beaten

 Directions

1. preheat oven to 350 degrees

2. grease 9 inch pie plate with butter in a med bowl combine the filling ingredients and toss to mix

3. pour into the pie plate in a small bowl mix topping ingredients
the dough will be sticky so
4. Just place dollops around the apples bake for 35-40 minutes until topping is golden brown

5. Top with vanilla ice cream and enjoy
