Fresh Strawberry Muffin Bread

Ingredients List
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup strawberries, finely chopped
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in shortening, and mix well.
In a small bowl, whisk eggs and milk together. Fold into flour mixture.
Fold in strawberries. Pour batter into greased loaf pan. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until a knife comes out clean when inserted with a knife. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before slicing. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days
