Fruit Cocktail Cake

 Ingredients List

  • ---Wet---
  • 1 1/2 c Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 c Corn oil
  • ---Dry---
  • 2 1/2 c Flour
  • 1 1 lb. can fruit cocktail;
  • -plus juice
  • 2 ts Baking soda
  • 1/4 ts Nutmeg
  • 1/4 ts Cinnamon
  • 1/4 ts Allspice
  • 1/4 ts Cloves
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • ---Topping---
  • 2 Sticks butter; melted
  • 1/2 c Milk
  • 3/4 c Light brown sugar
  • 1 ts Vanilla
  • 1/2 c Walnuts

 Directions

Mix wet ingredients, sift together dry ingredients, mix together. Bake at
350 degrees for 50-60 minutes. To make Topping: Combine butter, milk and
light brown sugar and bring to a hard boil for 1 minute. Remove. Add
vanilla and walnuts. Icing cake while cake is still warm
