Funnel Cake

 Ingredients List

  • 1 1/3 c Flour
  • 1/4 ts Salt
  • 1/2 ts Soda
  • 2 tb Sugar
  • 3/4 tb Baking powder
  • 1 Egg; beaten
  • 2/3 c Milk (or more)
  • Powdered sugar for topping

 Directions

Sift together dry ingredients. In another bowl mix egg & milk & add dry
ingredients. Beat until smooth. Hold finger over bottom of a funnel. Pour
in some batter. Remove finger & let batter drop in a spiral motion into pan
filled with 1 inch of hot oil (375 degrees). Fry until golden brown,
turning once. Remove from pan & drain on paper towel. Sprinkle with
powdered sugar & serve hot.
