Ingredients List
- 3-4 cans of green beans
- 1 large onion
- 6 (or more) strips of bacon (For best flavor, use regular bacon. You can use turkey bacon for a less flavorful--but healthier--dish.)
Directions
1. Cut bacon into small strips and fry on medium heat in a large pan.
2. Chop onion, and add it to cooking bacon. (Note. If you are using turkey bacon, don't add the onion until the bacon is almost finished cooking.)
3. Drain liquid from all except one can of green beans. Add beans (including the water from the one can) to the bacon and onion.
4. Cook over low heat for about 10 minutes or more. (Most of the liquid will boil away.)
5. Lightly salt and pepper.
