Ground Beef Stuffed Cabbage

 Ingredients List

  • 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup chopped yellow onion
  • 1 medium head (about 2 pounds) green cabbage
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1/4 cup raisins (I use golden)
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can (16 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • sour cream, for serving (optional)

 Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 13- by 9-inch pan with cooking spray or oil.

In a medium skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Set aside to cool.
