Gujarati Kadhi Pakora

Ingredients List
- For the Curry:
- 4-5 tbsp Ghee3 Cup Water6 Cup Curd
- 5 tsp Gram Flour
- 1 tsp Cumin Seed
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powde
- 2 Green Chilies - Finely Chopped
- 1 Inch Ginger - Finely Chopped
- 1/2 tsp Asafoetida Powder /Hing4 tsp Sugar
- Salt to taste
- For Pakoras:
- Oil to fry
- 1 Cup Gram Flour / Besan
- 2 Onion - Finely Chopped
- 2 Green Chilies - Finely CHopped
- 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
- Water for the Batter
- Salt to taste
- For Garnishing:
- Chopped Coriander Leaves
Directions
For the curry:
Step 1: In large deep bowl and mix gram flour, water along with the curd in it. Blend it so that no lumps are formed.
Step 2: In a frying pan fry the cumin seeds, finely chopped chillies, asafoetida, and ginger.
Step 3: Add above fired ingredients to mixed curd. Sprinkle salt to taste, and turmeric powder to it.
Step 4: In a deep vessel boil the curd and gram flour mixture. Simmer for 25 minutes.
Step 5: Cook till the curry consistency is thick.
For Pakoras:
Step 1: Make a thick batter by mixing green chillies, salt to taste, onions and water with gram flour.
Step 2: Heat oil in a frying pan to deep fry. When oil is enough hot take one teaspoon of oil and pour it into the batter, to make soft pakoras.
Step 3: Deep fry by taking batter in small ball shape. When it turns golden brown and crisp pakoras are ready.
Step 4: Mix these pakoras in boiling curry.
Step 5: After mixing pakoras boil curry for some time and then add sugar & simmer for a minute. Switch off the flame when desired consistency is found.
