Gumdrop Tea Bread

 Ingredients List

  • 2 c Flour
  • 2 ts Baking Powder
  • 1/4 c Sugar -- or substitute
  • 1 ts Cinnamon
  • 1 ts Salt
  • 1/4 ts Mace
  • 1/4 ts Nutmeg
  • 2 tb Prune -- puree or margarine
  • 1 Egg Beaters. 99% Egg
  • Substitute
  • 1 c Nonfat Milk
  • 1/2 c Raisins
  • 1/2 c Gumdrops -- diced, no black
  • Ones
  • 4 tb Flour

 Directions

Sift all dry ingredients except the 4 T flour for dredging the fruit and
candy. Add liquid to the dry ingredients mixing smooth; don't beat. Dredge
raisins and gumdrops in flour. Add to the batter. Put in prepared lof
pan. Let sit 20 min. Bake 45 min in 350 deg. F. oven.
