- To make this recipe for blackberry custard you will need.
- 1. 1 9 inch pie shell.
- 2. 2 Cups of fresh blackberries.
- 3. 1 1/2 Cups of white granulated sugar.
- 4. 1/4 Cup self rising flour.
- 5. 2 large eggs well beaten.
- 6. 2/3 of a Cup of evaporated milk.
- 7. 1 teaspoon real vanilla extract.
- For Your Crumb Topping
- 1. 1/2 Cup white granulated sugar.
- 2. 1/3 Cup self rising flour.
- 3. 1/4 Cup margarine.
- 4. 1 teaspoon real vanilla extract.
Directions
Now you will want to toss your berries , 1 1/2 cups white granulated sugar , and 1/4 cup of self rising flour to coat your berries.Place the fruit into your 9 inch pie shell.
Now mix your beaten eggs , evaporated milk , and 1 teaspoon real vanilla extract and pour in the pie shell over the top of your berries.
Mix your crumb topping ingredients together very well and sprinkle over the top of your pie ingredients. Now you will want to cook your pie for one hour in a pre-heated 350 degree oven until done and it looks similar to the slice of blackberry custard above.
Now mix your beaten eggs , evaporated milk , and 1 teaspoon real vanilla extract and pour in the pie shell over the top of your berries.
