Ingredients List
- 3 Cups all purpose flour (not with sodium), flour for bread, cake, cookies etc.
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1.5 -2 teaspoons salt
- 1 Tbs. Baking powder *optional
- 1 Tbs. dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cups of Luke warm water, more or less as needed (or warm milk)
- Oil for greasing the baking pan
Directions
1. Combine flour, salt and baking powder. Mix!
2. Add sugar and dry yeast in a small cup, and add bit of warm milk or water.
3. Let the yeast activate, stir and add to the flour mixture.
4. Add more warm water or milk as needed, but do add slowly so your bread dough wouldn't turn into pancake mixture.(1/2 cup at the time until you reach the thickness and so the wooden spoon can go through easier-it does take some good beating)
5. Take a few strokes with a wooden spoon just to combine everything and cover the dough.
6. Let it raise for 20 minutes and stir with your wooden spoon again, and let it rest for the next 30 minutes.
7. Preheat oven on 400F (200C)
8. Grease your baking pan and put the dough in.
9. Again let it raise in the baking pan for the next 10 minutes or until it's almost up to the edges of the pan and place in the preheated oven, even if it's not all the way to the edges it will raise more in the oven.*note that you can bake in any pan that you have-circular, rectangular, or square pan.
10. Bake for 40 minutes, or until the crust turns golden brown.
