Ingredients List
- 1 packet Kool Aid (any flavor)
- 2 cups seltzer or club soda (I used seltzer)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 1/2 cups ice
- A Blender
Directions
This recipe is super simple and a great way to entertain the little ones. We all know how costly going down to the local convenient store can be for just a few Icees.
The first things you will want to do is add you Kool-Aid packet, sugar and 1 cup of the selzter, reserving 1 cup, water to your blender. Mix it with a wooden spoon until the sugar and Kool-Aid are dissolved and no longer clumpy.
Add in all of your ice and blend it pulse it in the blender until the big chunks of ice are broken down.Add your remaining cup of seltzler and blend for just a second to get the seltzer mixed through.
And that”™s it. Pour in the cup and you have some awesome Icees.
The original suggests you freeze your glasses for 30 minutes before you make them. We did not, they just move to a liquefied state sooner ”¦. but who even waits that long to drink an Icee?? icon smile 52 Weeks of Pinterest: Week 25 Homemade Icees! Not me.
We have tried 3 different flavors now including Watermelon, orange, and mixed berry; they were all delish.
