Honey-Ginger-Chili Chicken

Ingredients List
- 3 tb Shortening
- 3 tb Butter or margarine
- 1/3 c All-purpose flour
- 3/4 ts Salt
- 1/2 ts Ground ginger
- 1/4 ts Pepper
- 3 lb Chicken
- 1/3 c Honey
- 1/3 c Chili sauce
- 1/3 c Soy sauce
- 1/2 ts Ground ginger
Directions
Heat oven to 425F. Heat shortening and butter in baking pan, 13x9x2 inches,
in oven until melted. Mix flour, salt, 1/2 teaspoon ginger and the pepper.
Coat chicken pieces thoroughly with flour mixture. Place chicken skin sides
down in pan. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes. Turn chicken; bake 15 minutes.
Remove chicken. Drain fat; line pan with aluminum foil. Return chicken to
pan. Mix honey, chili sauce and 1/2 teaspoon ginger; pour on chicken. Bake
15 minutes, spooning honey mixture onto chicken every five minutes. serve
immediately or refrigerate and serve chilled. 6 servings.
The first time I tryed this I used worcestershire sauce instead of soy
sauce and it worked great.
