Hot Fruit Compote #1

 Ingredients List

  • 1 cn (16-oz) sliced peaches;
  • -drained
  • 1 cn (16-oz) pear halves;
  • -drained, chopped
  • 1 cn (16-oz) purple plums;
  • -drained, pitted
  • 1 cn (20-oz) pineapple chunks;
  • -drained
  • 1 Jar (6-oz) maraschino
  • -cherries; drained
  • 2 Bananas; sliced
  • 3/4 c Brown sugar
  • 1/3 c Butter or margarine
  • 1 cn (16-oz) applesauce
  • 3 tb Brown sugar
  • 1/2 c Chopped pecans

 Directions

Combine first six ingredients in 13x9x2-inch casserole. Set aside. Combine
sugar, butter & applesauce in saucepan & heat thoroughly, stirring
occasionally. Spoon over fruit. Sprinkle with brown sugar & pecans. Bake at
300 for 1 hour. Serve hot. (May be prepared ahead & frozen. To serve, thaw
overnight in refrigerator.) Serves 12.
