Hot Fruit Compote #1
Ingredients List
- 1 cn (16-oz) sliced peaches;
- -drained
- 1 cn (16-oz) pear halves;
- -drained, chopped
- 1 cn (16-oz) purple plums;
- -drained, pitted
- 1 cn (20-oz) pineapple chunks;
- -drained
- 1 Jar (6-oz) maraschino
- -cherries; drained
- 2 Bananas; sliced
- 3/4 c Brown sugar
- 1/3 c Butter or margarine
- 1 cn (16-oz) applesauce
- 3 tb Brown sugar
- 1/2 c Chopped pecans
Directions
Combine first six ingredients in 13x9x2-inch casserole. Set aside. Combine
sugar, butter & applesauce in saucepan & heat thoroughly, stirring
occasionally. Spoon over fruit. Sprinkle with brown sugar & pecans. Bake at
300 for 1 hour. Serve hot. (May be prepared ahead & frozen. To serve, thaw
overnight in refrigerator.) Serves 12.
