Hungarian Soup with Beef Stew

 Ingredients List

  • 1 lb Beef stew meat; cut in 1-1/2
  • -inch cubes
  • 1/2 lb Onions; sliced
  • 6 c Beef broth
  • 3 tb Tomato paste
  • 3 tb Paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 ds Garlic powder
  • 3 tb Shortening
  • 1 Green pepper; sliced

 Directions

Saute onions in shortening until tender. Brown beef; stir in remaining
ingredients. Cover & simmer about 1-1/2 hours or until meat is tender. If
soup is too thin, stir in 1 tablespoon cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 cup
water. Add green pepper 1/2 hour before serving.
