Italian Style Meatless Meatballs

 Ingredients List

  • 2 c Tofu, well broken up
  • 1 c Wholewheat breadcrumbs
  • 1 sm Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tb Natural soy sauce (or to
  • -taste)
  • 1 c Wholewheat flour
  • 1 ts Oregano
  • 1/4 ts Basil

 Directions

Combine the ingredients well in a large bowl, kneading the mixture a little
to help it hold together. Shape the mixture into balls and shallow- or
deep-fry them. Use these with spaghetti or bake them in the oven with a
nice Italian-style tomato sauce (see recipe in this conference). Bake at
350ø for about half an hour.
