Karen Butler's Pumpkin Walnut Bread

 Ingredients List

  • 2 cups sifted flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp
  • grated nutmeg 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 cup chopped walnuts 2 eggs well beaten 1/2
  • cup milk 1 cup sugar 1 cup canned pumpkin 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or
  • margerine, melted
  • 1. Sift flour, baking powder, soda, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon onto wax paper
  • 2. Beat eggs, milk, sugar, pumpkin & butter in large bowl. 3. Stir in dry
  • ingredients 4. Fold in walnuts 5. Spoon onto greased 9 x 3 x 3 loaf pan 6.
  • Bake in 350 oven for 55 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool 10 minutes & remove. Cool completely & wrap in foil.

3/4 c Water
1/3 c Milk
3 tb Oil
2 tb Honey
1 ts Salt
2 1/2 c Bread Flour
1 tb Grated Orange Peel
1/4 c Granola*; (up to 1/2)
1/4 c Sunflower seeds**
1/4 c Raisins**
2 1/4 ts Active Dry Yeast

*I use Strawberry Muesili instead of granolawonderful!!
